Help is on the Way!

picsart_08-11-11.50.40For the past few months, I have not been very inspired to write. My plate has been full. During moments like these, it can be a challenge to stop and find beauty around us especially amid a pandemic. I have forced myself to get out and take in some sunshine. One afternoon, my husband and I took the kids on a turn around trip to one of our favorite places called Tanglewood. Tanglewood is a resort in Pottsboro, Texas where we’ve gone to spend family time over the years. It has been a place of rest and enjoyment. The scenery of dense trees coupled with the view of Lake Texoma is a sight to behold. Just being near to the water alone is refreshing.

While we were driving and taking it all in, my husband said something that stuck with me. He said, “It’s amazing how snakes just slither around without any worries. They don’t have to worry about food because they know that if they keep moving eventually it will come.” Although the statement was simple, I couldn’t help but think about God’s provision for us and His promises to supply our needs. He takes care of every part of existence. He feeds the animals of both land and sea. Why would He not take care of you and me?

These are indeed trying times but I believe that we have a good father. He is not a dead beat dad who neglects the needs of His children. He doesn’t make empty promises to His children. He doesn’t love us from a distance or shows up when He feels like it. He is ever-present and all-knowing. He is so in tune with the hearts of His children that He knows our needs before we even realize we are in need. He is such a good father that He even goes ahead of us and prepares the way for us. In due time, He opens up the windows of heaven and pours out blessings that we don’t even have room to receive.

Yes, we are in a pandemic. Yes, times are hard. Yes, people are without employment and have needs. Yet, He is STILL good. He is still faithful. He knew this would come. It did not catch Him by surprise. Just like God used Joseph to bless His people during the famine, He is making a way for you. Do not worry. Do not fret. Stay anchored. God has not forgotten about you. Keep the faith!

Be encouraged. Help is on the Way!

I am an educator, a wife of 25 years, and mother of three beautiful children. I have taught the word of God to all ages and love to share it in creative ways. I've always had a passion for written expression. Over the years, I have documented my personal thoughts and prayers. Poems, devotionals, worship songs, and more have come from my life experiences. Now, I am ready to share them with the hope that lives and hearts will be changed as well as greatly blessed. I am flawed but striving for perfection in Christ. Although I have fallen short of the glory of God, I am forgiven. I am loved with an everlasting love. I am FREE!
