God’s V.I.P. Section Part 2: Very Involved People

Although our days are numbered, God is calling us to get involved in what He is doing. I know that even the thought of the task seems daunting but it is what is required of us. I have had some unfavorable experiences while doing ministry work and was even at a point of not wanting to have anything to do with people. I had to remind myself that being a follower of Christ is not just following in belief but also in action. Yes, it is a messy job. In fact, any job involving people gets messy but we have to trust God. I am sure it didn’t take long for the disciples to realize this truth but as long as they walked with Jesus and were mission-minded, they were fine.

The bottom line is that we have to love others enough to want them to experience the beauty of being in fellowship with other believers and the Father. We have to be willing to launch into the deep to get those lost souls who aren’t visible from the surface and safety of the shore. We have to be willing to launch into the deep to get the harder to catch fish, the fish that don’t look like us, or come from where we come from. The truth is there are plenty of fish in the sea. Where are the willing fishers of men?

We were adopted by the Father so we may bring others into the family. The family business is a great responsibility and the inheritance is rich. It’s a family affair and brings us even closer to the Father by invoking His approval and favor in our lives.

We are called to be Very Involved People. Calling All Fishers of Men!

I am an educator, a wife of 24 years, and mother of three beautiful children. I have taught the word of God to all ages and love to share it in creative ways. I've always had a passion for written expression. Over the years, I have documented my personal thoughts and prayers. Poems, devotionals, worship songs, and more have come from my life experiences. Now, I am ready to share them with the hope that lives and hearts will be changed as well as greatly blessed. I am flawed but striving for perfection in Christ. Although I have fallen short of the glory of God, I am forgiven. I am loved with an everlasting love. I am FREE!
