Happy New Year, FREE family!

I pray this post finds you blessed. I have been away for some time and hope to return to this community more often to share as the Lord leads. A lot has happened in my life since my last post. I have walked through seasons of loss, spiritual warfare, victories, and changes. I am extremely grateful because God has been at work for my family and me. I have started an online store for my digital products and am working on growing my custom craft business. If you are a crafter or DIYer, I’d like to invite you to visit our store at http://www.freecreationsllc.com. Nevertheless, God has been faithful as I am sure He has been to you. With that being said, I’d like to encourage you this second week of 2025.

As the calendar turns to 2025, we’re reminded of the fresh start God offers each of us every day. His Word tells us in Lamentations 3:22-23 that His mercies are new every morning—a truth that fills us with hope as we step into this new season.

The start of a new year is more than just a date change; it’s a powerful reminder that God is always working, shaping, and renewing us. No matter where you’ve been or what challenges you’ve faced, the year ahead is full of opportunities to grow closer to Him, fulfill your purpose, and experience His blessings.

Start the Year with Faith

Before making resolutions or setting goals, take time to seek God in prayer. Ask Him to guide your steps, direct your decisions, and prepare your heart for the year ahead. Proverbs 16:9 reminds us, “In their hearts, humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”

When we place our trust in Him, we can step into the future with confidence, knowing He has already paved the way.

Embrace God’s New Mercies

A new year is a chance to leave behind the mistakes and regrets of the past. In Christ, we have the promise of forgiveness and renewal. Isaiah 43:18-19 encourages us:

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!”

Let go of what holds you back and embrace the fresh start God is offering.

Trust His Plan for Your Life

This year, commit to living with purpose. What dreams has God placed on your heart? Whether it’s strengthening your relationships, pursuing a long-held goal, or stepping into a new calling, trust that He will equip you for the journey.

Take small steps of faith each day. Remember, the work God is doing in you isn’t just for your benefit—it’s part of His greater plan to bless others and bring glory to Him.

Turn Challenges into Opportunities

Life isn’t always smooth, and the new year will likely bring its share of challenges. But with God, every trial can become an opportunity to grow in faith and character.

Romans 8:28 reminds us, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”

When challenges arise, hold on to this promise. Trust that He’s working all things together for your good.

Let’s Walk into 2025 Together

  • Lifting Each Other Up: Share your journey with others, encourage those around you, and lean on your community when you need support.

I am a former educator, entrepreneur, wife, and mother of three beautiful children. I have taught the word of God to all ages and love to share it in creative ways. I've always had a passion for written expression. Over the years, I have documented my personal thoughts and prayers. Poems, devotionals, worship songs, and more have come from my life experiences. Now, I am ready to share them with the hope that lives and hearts will be changed as well as greatly blessed. I am flawed but striving for perfection in Christ. Although I have fallen short of the glory of God, I am forgiven. I am loved with an everlasting love. I am FREE!
