Want to Know? Just Ask

There’s something comforting about knowing that we don’t have to have all the answers. In fact, God never expected us to. Life will always bring questions…big ones, small ones, heavy ones. “Should I take this opportunity? How do I handle this situation? Am I in the right place? What is God calling me to do next?”

These questions can weigh on us. But the beauty of walking with the Lord is this: we don’t have to guess our way through life.

James 1:5 reminds us:

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”

God wants us to ask. He wants us to seek Him. He wants us to lean into Him for understanding. He’s not sitting in heaven with His arms crossed waiting for us to figure things out. No. He’s ready and willing to guide us. And the best part? He gives wisdom freely. There’s no shame in not knowing. There’s no condemnation in having questions. There’s only an invitation to come closer.

I’ve had seasons where I tried to figure it all out on my own, searching for signs, asking people, and overthinking. But nothing compares to the peace that comes from simply going to God and saying, “Lord, I don’t know. Please show me.”

When we ask God with a sincere heart, He responds. It might not always be in the way we expect, but He is always faithful to guide us. His Word is a light to our path, and His Spirit leads us into truth. We just have to ask.

So friend, if you’re standing at a crossroads or carrying questions that seem too big…Ask. If you’re trying to discern what’s next for your life, your business, your family, or your purpose…Ask. You’re not bothering God. You’re not being too needy. You’re being His child. And He delights in leading you.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for being a safe place for my questions. Thank You for giving wisdom without judgment. I come to You today with a heart ready to listen. I don’t want to rely on my own understanding. I want to walk in step with You. Lead me. Guide me. Show me what to do and how to do it. Help me to hear Your voice clearly and follow it boldly. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Until next time… remember,
FREE looks good on you.

  1. I love knowing that I can always ask God, and that He delights to provide for me. Even stuff that’s not in His Word, He provides sources that are Biblically-based, and He guides His people into different knowledge, so that we can act as His body and work together to His glory.
