Having a changed heart and renewed mind, the next thing to do is to walk purposefully. The change God makes in us is never meant to stay on the inside. It must express itself in our behaviors.
Intention is living on purpose, deciding that points to the heart and mind aligning with God’s intention. It’s not necessarily how we feel or what we think anymore, but how we live it out in faith.
That leads us to obedience. Heart shift gave us a new desire. Mind shift gave us a new way of thinking. Now, intention gives us a new direction.
Intentional movement feels like:
Guiding purposes that honor God’s call.
Marching forward in faith instead of hiding behind.
Making day-to-day choices that result in consistency and fruitfulness.
If the heart and mind are aligned with God’s kingdom, our steps become directed by Him (Psalm 37:23). This is the evidence of the change…living a life that shows His goodness, His wisdom, and His strength.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for rewinding my heart and reviving my mind. Now help me walk purposely the way You’re calling me to go. Make what I do be the proof of the work You’ve done in me. Make my life bear fruit that would honor You in every area…personal, professional, and spiritual. Amen.

Yes! Whatever we say, we act on our beliefs. If we SAY we believe God, then our actions must reflect that belief.
For this is the love of God, that we should keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome. 1 John 5.3

Hi Kathy. That is exactly right. Unfortunately, we are living in a time when what we profess is contrary to our actions. Let us pray that all of us who profess to believe in God, will become true living epistles.
