Elevate

In a world full of imposters,
In a world full of fake.
In a world that hates to love,
And loves to hate.

In a world that is thirsty,
In a world overtly ridden with sin.
In a world that approves an eye for an eye,
And feels it’s ok to betray our next of kin.

In a world that shuns the righteous,
Yet exalts the thief.
In a world that ignores the obvious,
And serves up contaminated beef.

It’s tough to be authentic when emerged in the false,
And your soul can be sold for only a fraction of its cost.

Yet, every day is a test to live out our God-given identity,
And strive to walk like the Father and ward off emnity.

We have been empowered to victor over an enemy unseen,
We must know we are sons and daughters of the Almighty risen king.

See we must be willing to be the least of them if we want Him to be great.
However to lift Him, we have got to humble ourselves and elevate.

Elevate our thinking,
Elevate our lives,
Elevate our worth,
Based on His sacrifice.

Elevate our love,
Elevate our sight,
Elevate in the darkness,
So others can see His light.

Elevate our holiness,
Elevate our grace,
Elevate our warfare,
And continually seek His face.

To be the least of these, we must be willing to make Him great.
The only way to do so is to lay down our lives and elevate.
