Once the heart is transformed, the mind needs to be also. Paul reminds us in Romans 12:2 to “be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Our thinking makes our world because “as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he” (Proverbs 23:7).
If the heart is where it’s at, then the mind is the sieve. Thoughts influence what we believe, and what we believe shapes the way we live. If our hearts are aligned with God but our minds remain in cycles of doubt, fear, or negativity, we will remain stuck.
To change our minds means:
Replacing lies with God’s truth.
Conditioning our thinking to fit His promises.
Choosing faith rather than fear in every decision.
This shift requires intentional practice. We cannot allow every thought to go unregulated; instead, we must “take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5).
Once our thoughts are linked to the heart God healed and restored, we move into clarity, concentration, and power.
Prayer:
Lord, shift my mind from fear to faith, from doubt to trust, from confusion to clarity. Renew my thinking so that every thought I think is a reflection of Your truth. Align my thinking with the work You’ve already done within my heart. Amen.
