Blessed Be the Name

Blessed be the name of the one who gives and takes away,

The one who rolls back the night sky to expose the light of day.

Blessed be the name of the one who gave it all,

So that on that final great day it’s our names He can call.

Blessed be the name of the one who turned water into wine,

The one who prunes away our iniquities to sustain our vines.

Blessed be the name of the one whose glory is revealed,

Whose majestic artistry is captured in each mountain and every hill.

Blessed be the name of the one who makes provision for our every need,

Who breaks the chains of bondage and leaves His sons free indeed.

Blessed be the name of the one who is worthy to be praised,

Who draws all men unto Himself when by His children He is raised.

Blessed be the name of the one who is soon to come again,

Who will cease all suffering and whose kingdom shall have no end.

Blessed be, Oh, blessed be, the name of Jesus.

I am an educator, a wife of 22 years, and mother of three beautiful children. I have taught the word of God to all ages and love to share it in creative ways. I've always had a passion for written expression. Over the years, I have documented my personal thoughts and prayers. Poems, devotionals, worship songs, and more have come from my life experiences. Now, I am ready to share them with the hope that lives and hearts will be changed as well as greatly blessed. I am flawed but striving for perfection in Christ. Although I have fallen short of the glory of God, I am forgiven. I am loved with an everlasting love. I am FREE!
