“Let Me Do It”

There’s something about those four little words: “Let Me Do It.”
They sound so simple, yet they carry a weight that only God can truly bear.

If you’re anything like me, you’ve tried to fix it all. You’ve planned, prayed, worried, re-planned, and then worried again, only to realize that you were never meant to carry that weight. We say we trust God, but sometimes we cling tightly to control as if our lives depend on it. And all the while, He gently whispers, “Let Me do it.”

The Freedom in Letting Go

The truth is, full dependence on God is where real freedom begins.

Not the kind of freedom the world offers, the one that says “do it yourself, be strong, stay in control.” No, I’m talking about the kind of freedom that comes when we surrender our will to His. The kind that says, “God, I don’t know how this will work out, but I trust You to handle it better than I ever could.”

It’s the freedom of not having to force things.

It’s the peace that floods in when we stop striving.

It’s the joy of knowing the outcome isn’t in our hands and that’s good news.

He’s Not Asking for Help, He’s Asking for Trust

God isn’t asking us to “help” Him fix our problems. He’s asking us to trust that He already knows the way. And more than that—He wants to be invited into every area of our lives.

That means the marriage that feels strained.
The business that feels stuck.
The child you keep praying over.
The dream that feels delayed.
The finances that feel uncertain.
Yes, even that.

He doesn’t just want to be your Sunday God. He wants to be your everyday God. Your decision-maker. Your provider. Your strategist. Your comforter.

He’s saying:

“Let Me do it because I love you more than you can imagine, and I see what you can’t. I’ve already gone before you. I’m working it out, even when it doesn’t look like it.”

Complete Dependence Isn’t Weak…It’s Wisdom

Letting God take over doesn’t mean you stop showing up. It means you stop showing up like it’s all on you. It’s a heart posture. A daily decision. A quiet surrender.

Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

Friend, this is your permission to breathe again.
To hand it over.
To stop carrying what was never yours to begin with.

So Here’s Your Reminder Today:

Let Him do it.
Not just the big things. Not just the emergencies.
Everything.

Because the moment we surrender is the moment we finally step into the freedom we were created for.

God doesn’t just want to be involved. He wants to lead.

So when you find yourself overwhelmed, anxious, tired, or tangled up in the “how,” take a deep breath and say these six words out loud:

“God, I let You do it.”

And then trust that He will.

Remember: Freedom is found on the other side of surrender.

FREE looks good on you.

  1. Thank you so much for this beautiful and Spirit-filled message. It deeply touched my heart—especially the reminder that “freedom begins where full dependence on God starts.” It’s something I’ve experienced myself and try to share with others.

I recently launched a website called Christian Tunisia, which seeks to bring the Good News of Christ to those searching for hope in Tunisia and North Africa. It’s a humble effort to make the Gospel known in a region where few have access to it. If you’re curious, you can visit here:

    1. Hi. I am glad you were touched by it. We were never intended to depend on ourselves or others. That’s why it is so hard for us to relinquish full control over to Him. I will stop by your site. Thanks for stopping by and blessing on your mission.
